Thousands of baseball fans poured into Birmingham this week for the MLB game at historic Rickwood Field and the tribute to the Negro Leagues. Birmingham City Schools' scholars had a close view of the historic event and an opportunity to meet many baseball greats. They also attended a star-studded luncheon with greats such as #ReggieJackson and comedian Roy Wood Jr., a BCS alum.

During Camp Wellness, students participate in daily social and emotional learning (SEL) wellness groups and activities, such as yoga and fitness, cultural experiences, and field trips. Today, they learned STEM through the art of hip-hop. Thanks to our partner Birmingham Water Works for making this camp possible! #BCSstrong #SuccessStartsHere
