The teams traded scores in the first half, with Wenonah taking an 8-6 lead into halftime, a score that held until the Dragons' game-winning touchdown.

Jackson-Olin's championship win also determined the outcome of a promise made between Board Members Walt Wilson and Yamika Foy, representing Districts 7 (Wenonah) and 9 (Jackson-Olin), respectively.
