Birmingham City Schools is partnering with the Birmingham Museum of Art, Desert Island Supply Co. and the Fiesta Festival to present an opportunity for our scholars to have their creativity showcased.

Scholars are encouraged to submit artwork or essays to their ESL or art teachers to participate in the Roots and Routes Art Contest.

The students' work will be displayed during the Fiesta Festival on September 26 and at the Birmingham Museum of Art October 5-26. An opening night event is planned for district staff and families for Wednesday, October 7 at 5 p.m.

Guidelines for artwork and written work are available at the Birmingham City Schools website. The deadline for submissions is September 26.
