G.W. Carver High School’s Choir earned Superior Ratings on the Southern Choral Performance Assessment, delivering a performance that reflected dedicated preparation, artistic discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
Judges praised the ensemble’s musicianship, the quality of their choral selections, and the precision and control demonstrated throughout each piece. One judge summarized the experience by stating:
“Wow, what a group! It was a wonderful performance from beginning to end. Stellar performance,” said one judge.
The choir’s achievement is the result of the dedication of 17 student performers and the leadership of Mr. Bobby Stringer, whose guidance continues to strengthen Carver’s choral program. Their success highlights the depth of talent within Birmingham City Schools and reinforces the district’s commitment to providing students with high‑quality arts education opportunities and artistic excellence.
