The Wenonah boys basketball team scorched LeFlore by a score of 79-60 in the AHSAA 5A Semifinals tonight to earn a spot in the Championship Game!
The name of Wenonah's game was speed, with the team tallying 41 fastbreak points.
Santez Pendleton led the Dragons with 25 points, 13 rebounds and five assists, with Brendon Davis contributing 23 points and 13 rebounds and Demazzia Taylor scoring 19 points.
The Dragons will face Sylacauga, the team who ended their playoff run in the Final Four last season.
“Our guys have been very, very hungry to see them again,” said Coach Cedric Lane during the post-game press conference. “We knew the only way we would see them again would be in the final. I’m hoping we don’t need any motivation.”
