Fresh off winning the WNBA Championship with the New York Liberty, Ramsay I.B. High School gave former Lady Ram Jaylyn Sherrod her flowers tonight by retiring her jersey number.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Sullivan, Principal Dr. Carolyn Russell-Walker, and Coach Ronnie Jackson were on hand to honor Sherrod along with friends, family, former teammates, and current students and faculty.

State Senator Rodger Smitherman, a long-time volunteer basketball coach at Ramsay, also issued a proclamation in recognition of Sherrod's success.
