The TMCF HBCU Scholars Program at Lawson State is a FREE, one-week residential summer experience designed for high-achieving high school juniors (rising seniors). The program provides students with the opportunity to:

Learn about HBCU institutions
Explore college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities
Engage in career exploration and academic pathway discovery
Participate in leadership and college readiness activities

Program Details

Dates: July 19 – July 24, 2026
Eligibility: Current high school juniors (Class of 2027)
Students must be able to participate in the full week-long program

Letter of recommendation
Statement of Interest
Academic information (unofficial/official transcript with a minimum 2.5 GPA)
