Our Rams had a powerful learning experience today! 🐏⚖️
Ms. Steele and Mr. Burt’s Mock Trial and Debate teams traveled to the Wright Center at Samford University to observe the Oral Arguments of the Supreme Court of Alabama in action. This experience gave our scholars the opportunity to see how the skills they develop in their school programs translate to the real world.

This morning, tenth-grade scholars from across the district gathered at Boutwell Auditorium for 205 & Park, a youth engagement experience presented by Council President Pro Tempore LaTonya A. Tate.
The event centered on honest, unfiltered dialogue between scholars and panelists, including Mayor Randall Woodfin, Sheriff Mark Pettway, Councilor Clinton Woods, and more. Vision Movement founder Dee-One served as the keynote speaker!
Carver High School’s boys and girls track and field teams opened the 2026 Outdoor Season at the Oxford Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday.
Junior sprinter Carlos Calhoun posted times ranking him as Class 5A #1 at 200 meters. Carlos is also ranked # 2 at 400 meters. #ExcellenceIsTheStandard #RamUp

This scholarship covers full tuition plus $500 per year for books, for up to eight semesters. We are incredibly proud of these scholars and love seeing our Rams being recognized for their hard work and academic excellence!

Our National Beta Club made a true Ram Difference this week! 🐏❤️
Students invited the Carver school body to create Valentine’s Day cards for elders in a local nursing home, spreading love, kindness, and connection across generations. Thanks to their efforts, a box filled with heartfelt cards was delivered just in time for Valentine’s Day. 💌
We are so proud of our Beta scholars for leading with service and compassion.
Today, it was friendly. Tomorrow, the rivalries commence.
Players and coaches from Wenonah, Parker, Carver, and Huffman from Birmingham City Schools and Shades Valley, McAdory, Fultondale, and Pinson Valley from Jefferson County Schools walked the same field that soccer legends Diego Simeone, Javier Zanetti, Mia Hamm, and Carli Lloyd have played.
They will face off tomorrow in the City vs. County Soccer Tournament. View event for times and tickets.

The NSBE Jr. chapters at G.W. Carver High School, Ramsay High School, and A.H. Parker High School showed up and showed out at the FIRST Tech Challenge held at UAB. Carver and Ramsay will advance to the state competition in Huntsville!
