Superintendent Dr. Mark Sullivan, Woodlawn Choral Director Tanisha Jones, and Wenonah Choral Director Jasmine McGaha were among the distinguished honorees of the Spirit of 1963 Awards presented by The Birmingham International Seventh Day Adventist Church on Feb. 28. The Woodlawn High School choir provided spirit-filled music, capping off Black History Month in style!




This morning, tenth-grade scholars from across the district gathered at Boutwell Auditorium for 205 & Park, a youth engagement experience presented by Council President Pro Tempore LaTonya A. Tate.
The event centered on honest, unfiltered dialogue between scholars and panelists, including Mayor Randall Woodfin, Sheriff Mark Pettway, Councilor Clinton Woods, and more. Vision Movement founder Dee-One served as the keynote speaker!
