The Wenonah Dragons continue to earn accolades after the boys basketball team's dominant state championship run.
Tournament MVP Brendan Davis is the 5A Boys Basketball Player of the Year and has been named to the 2026 Super All-State Team according to the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA).
Davis also earned Birmingham Region Player of the Year honors from al.com.

Davis and his teammate Santez Pendleton were also named to the ASWA 5A Boys First Team All-State. The junior guards, along with teammate Devonte Penn (also a junior guard) secured three of the five spots on the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) 5A Boys All-Tournament Team.

Finally, Wenonah Coach Cedric Lane earned ASWA 5A Coach of the Year for leading the Dragons to win its first AHSAA 5A Boys Basketball Championship since 2019.

The Dragons were not the only BCS team represented in the post-season circuit. Huffman Vikings sophomore guard Antonio Hill earned a spot on the ASWA 6A Boys Third Team All-State.
UPDATE: Hill was also named Birmingham Region Breakout Player of the Year by al.com.

Meanwhile, Ramsay junior forward Camilyah Rowe landed on the ASWA 5A Girls Third-Team All-State.
