Scholars at Hayes K-8 received a donation of nearly 600 Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Packs (CHIPPS) from the Phi Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha this week — helping to combat childhood hunger and ensure students have access to nutritious meals when school is not in session. 💚
In the true spirit of the season, the members went a step further to uplift hearts as well as households by ensuring that every scholar in the program had at least one gift to open on Christmas morning.
"These efforts reflect commitment to meeting both the immediate needs of our children and the emotional well-being that comes from feeling seen, valued, and supported," said PIO President (and BCS Communications Coordinator) Nikki Seaborn. "Through compassion, generosity, and collective action, Phi Iota Omega aims to make a meaningful impact— one scholar, one family, and one community at a time."

Gee whiz, what a great Christmas concert! The full festival is viewable on Facebook and YouTube and more photos are available on Facebook. 🎄
