Daniela Martinez Flores receives scholarship certificate from Dr. Loretta Westry, Actuarial Sciences Coordinator at Miles College

Daniela Martinez Flores, a Class of 2024 graduate of Huffman High School, is the first-ever recipient of the Mathematical Actuarial Science Scholarship at Miles College.

Now a sophomore at Miles College, she is pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, a field that leverages statistical methods to analyze and mitigate risk in financial, insurance, and related industries.

At just 19 years old, Daniela is deeply committed to expanding her knowledge and gaining hands-on experience to excel in the actuarial field. With a passion for problem-solving and a drive for excellence, she is well on her way to becoming a leader in her chosen career.

At Huffman High School, she earned her diploma with both merit and career technical endorsements, reflecting her strong academic and professional foundation.

Throughout her high school years, she consistently demonstrated her mathematical talent, winning first place in the perennial math competition during both her junior and senior years.
