Greetings!

I am Ms. Barnfield, thrilled to be joining the 3rd-grade team as the math and science teacher this year. This marks my 10th year in education, and I bring with me a wealth of experience teaching students across intermediate and middle school grades. I’ve also had the privilege of stepping into leadership roles as a Math Coach (K-5), Lead Teacher, and department lead for math, which has enriched my perspective on teaching and learning.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. To further my expertise, I pursued a Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) from the University of West Alabama and an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Instructional Leadership from Auburn University at Montgomery.

Outside the classroom, I cherish spending time with my two exceptional children, Corey and Laila. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring new cities and countries. I am looking forward to a fantastic year of discovery and growth!
